Layer on the flavour! Arepas filled with tender, saucy chicken, cotija cheese, and sliced avocado are the perfect vessel for the sweet heat of Frank's RedHot® Mango Habanero Sauce.
Stir water and salt together in a medium bowl. Gradually stir cornmeal with your fingers until the mixture forms a soft, malleable dough.
Form into 4 2-inch (5-cm) diameter balls; flatten each ball to a 3/8-inch (0.3-mm) thick arepa patty.
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat; fry arepas until golden brown about 4-5 minutes per side. Allow to cool slightly and slice in half horizontally. Hold warm for service.
Mango Habanero Pulled Chicken
Mix all ingredients in a large bowl and combine. Hold warm until ready for service.
Service
For each arepa, add 3 oz (84 grams) of mango habanero chicken, avocado slices, cotija cheese, and chopped cilantro.
